We are proud to receive him as Guest of Honor and proclaim him, Distinguished Visitor of the City of Miami.鈥�
Dr. Pena was honored devoted to honor Nicaraguan poet (1867-1916). 鈥淒ario is to Hispanic literature what Walt Whitman is to the American literature,鈥� says Dr. Pena.
During the cultural week, February 6-13, in Miami, Pena participated in a symposium; delivered a lecture, 鈥淭he I in Ruben Dario,鈥� in the Miami Dade College InterAmerican Campus; and made a presentation of the anthology 鈥�,” for which he wrote the introduction.
