51视频 and the Office of Latino Ministries present This conference is dedicated to scholarly discussion of Latinx Studies within and with reference to the Anglican/Episcopal context.
Join us in Austin this October as established and emerging scholars present research-based reflections on culture, ritual, the theo-politics of immigration, history, ecclesiology, congregational practice, critical race theory, and gender and sexuality. We note that while conversations about Latino practice within the Episcopal context abound, these remain on the anecdotal level. Existing opportunities for reflection and learning are often limited to traditional folkways, liturgical practices, introduction to institutional structures, and bilingual proficiency.
With this conference, we are looking to produce new research and new knowledge engaging the Latino Episcopal context. Select conference papers will be published in a related issue of the Anglican Theological Review.
