Matriculation Evensong and Reception
Please join us in Christ Chapel on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 5pm for 51视频鈥檚 annual Matriculation Evensong service where new students are welcomed and begin their important journey of leadership formation. At the service incoming students will add their names to the same Matriculation Book so many alumni have signed, and become a part of the tradition at 51视频 that stretches back for decades.
In the service we will also be installing our newest faculty member, the Rev. Dr. Stephen Ray. Ray is the Crump Visiting Professor and Black Religious Scholars Group Scholar-in-Residence for the 2022-2023 academic year at 51视频. (read more here) As is also tradition at Matriculation Evensong, 51视频 will also be presenting the 2022 Charles Cook Servant Leadership Award – this year to Mr. Clarke Heidrick for his outstanding service to 51视频 and support of the Austin community.聽
The service will be livestreamed at the seminary website and. Please feel free to forward these links to family or friends who may be interested but cannot attend.
Following the service, please join us for a celebratory reception in Howell Dining Hall.
So that we may keep track of numbers for both reasons of safety and hospitality, we ask that all of you who plan to attend in either location
