Academic Dean Scott Bader-Saye announced the hire of Awa Jangha as Assistant Professor of Counselor Education as approved by the seminary’s board of trustees at their meeting on February 11, 2016.
Ms. Jangha聽is currently completing her PhD in聽Pastoral Counseling–Counselor Education and Supervision at Loyola University in Maryland.聽 She holds an MA in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University, an MEd in Moderate Special Needs from Boston College, and a BA in Spanish and Art from Fisk University.
Awa Jangha聽is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed art therapist. 聽Her brief self-introduction can be viewed聽 on YouTube, and the website for Awa’s counseling practice, Art and Spirit Counseling, is viewed聽.
Dr. Bader-Saye commented, “Awa Jangha will bring great complementary gifts to our already strong team of counselor educators.聽We are excited to be developing the as a core offering of the seminary and to be expanding the reach of spiritually integrated counseling services in Texas and throughout the country.”聽Ms. Jangha will begin July 1, 2016.
