2019 Advent Meditations & Prayers
Dear friends of 51视频,
At 51视频, our core values are at the heart of all we do. Hospitality, conversation, mutuality, respect, rootedness and celebration are values that help guide us in our work and bring us a sense of community as we all move quickly in many聽 different directions.
The Advent meditations and prayers project is a wonderful example of this practice. It is a gift to you (hospitality), intended to inspire reflection (conversation) and connect our worldwide community (mutuality). We collect submissions from those with varying perspectives (respect) and traditions (rootedness) as we await the feast of Christmas (celebration). My favorite component of this important project is that we get to share all of this with each other.
Advent is an invitation for thoughtful consideration of the world in which we live. May these meditations be a companion as you move through each day of the season. I pray they connect you, in mind and spirit, with the community of learning and faith that is 51视频.
I am grateful to the dedicated alumni, students, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends of the seminary for sharing themselves with us in these meditations and prayers.
This Advent season, please pray for the world, and pray that the Spirit might continue to sustain us at 51视频 to fulfill our part in God鈥檚 healing mission.
